埋め立てられた海が持つ不自然な空気に惹かれ東京湾を撮影した。
それは人間という種の持つ欲望や思考が自然とどの様に関わってきたのかという問題を提起すると同時に、一鑑賞者としての私自身の思考の拡張にも大きな影響を与えた。

I photographed Tokyo bay as I was intrigued with inharmonious atmosphere that the reclaimed ocean always has.
This work raises an issue of how human beings have been involved in nature with their greed and thoughts. It also expanded my thoughts as a viewer.

作家プロフィール
1992年、千葉県生まれ。
2013年より約3年間の海外生活を通して、国や文化の違いによる人々の性質の差異を目の当たりにし、人間という種の持つ普遍性に着目し始める。
また英語学習の中で、自らの思考のプロセスに変化を感じ、思考が言語に大きく左右される事実を知る。
この間、独学で写真を学び、杉本博司やトーマス・ルフから影響を受ける。
帰国後から現在に至るまで、人間の思考や感覚、記憶などの不確かな存在に焦点を当てながら、作品制作を通して考察を続けている。

artist profile
Born in 1992, Chiba, Japan.
From 2013 to 2016, he traveled and lived in several countries and saw people with different characters in each country.
Therefore, he started to think about what the universality of human is.
Moreover, while learning English, he realized that his thought process was strongly effected and altered according to the language spoken.
During his journey, he learned basics of photography by himself and particularly influenced by Hiroshi Sugimoto and Thomas Ruff.
Since returning to Japan, he has been studying intangible existence such as human thoughts, sense and memory, reflecting them on his art works.
